Luxury Williamsburg Development Adds Comedy Nights to Amenities Package
BROOKLYN (date) – 101 BEDFORD , Williamsburg’s most exciting residential complex, has raised the bar again on cool places to live by launching a series of comedy nights in its club room. Arranged by building management in conjunction with events group Vivacity and stand-up comedian Josh Chudnovsky https://twitter.com/chudcomedy who also lives in the building, the first two performances were standing room-only hits with the residents.
“We’re always looking to provide an exceptional experience for the residents,” says Yoel Sabel, co-developer and building manager. “Our amenities package has been cited among the best in Brooklyn, so the onus is on us to keep coming up with unique extras.”
The most recent event was held in late February and featured an impressive roster of professional talent who tried out their new material on-site at 101 Bedford. In addition to Mr. Chudnovsky, who also hosted the show, the line-up included Erik Bergstrom (Live from Outer Space), Sabrina Jales (MTV: Just for Laughs), Doogie Horner (America’s Got Talent), Jason Kanter (Gotham Comedy Club Live), Joe List (David Letterman and Comedy Cellar) and up-and-coming stand-up comedian Casey James Salengo.
Adds Mr. Chudnovsky, “This is an ideal place to work out new acts. The room is great, the audience happy to be there and for me, it’s really easy to get to the ‘club’ on time!”
Plans are currently in the works for future shows. It’s the latest in activity-focused programs at the building, along with such others as television and movie nights in the 29-seat screening room, restaurant tastings and wine tasting events. The fitness center recently introduced an innovative program of ballet-focused yoga classes to the residents, as well.
In addition to an unparalleled amenities package, 101 BEDFORD is a full-service building that offers 24/7 front desk service, on-site parking, canine cleaning station, available for dog-walking and pet-sitting services, on-site ATMs and vending machines, cold storage room for “Fresh Direct” and other refrigerated deliveries, and even a package inventory app. Among the building’s other attractions is its superb location across from McCarren Park and its proximity to the L train, just four blocks away.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments have hardwood floors, open kitchens with stainless steel appliances and Cesarstone countertops, porcelain-clad bathrooms and oversized windows with views of McCarren Park, the Manhattan skyline, or the landscaped inner courtyard.
